FAQ's

Can I see what the artwork will look like on my wall?

Yes! Take a photo of the wall with surrounding room elements and email it to me with the name of the artwork you are considering. I will send you your photo with the staged artwork.

Where are you based?

I am based in Fort Collins, CO USA. I work with international fine art printing companies.

What materials are used in your original artworks?

I used professional grade cotton canvases and art materials including acrylic paints, acrylic ink, charcoal, artist crayons, and more.

What is your painting process?

My process is to flood the canvas with a variety of colors and marks building opaque and transparent layers. I work somewhat intuitively responding the canvas as I paint.

Does the artwork come framed?

I have included many photos of what your new artwork will look like framed. At this time I can provide a choice of black float frames for canvas wrapped prints only. If you would like me to personally frame your original artwork, I am happy to provide that service and you will need to allow for extra framing time as well as the cost of the frame. Paper prints are shipped unframed and rolled in a cardboard tube. See my framing recommendations.

 Do you take commissions?

I am happy to discuss commissions. I cannot duplicate my work as I create intuitively. We can talk about color, theme, and size. Email me! I'd love to work with you.

To be eligible for an original painting return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

All of my fine art prints are made to order using the highest standards by a second party. For this reason I am unable to accept returns or exchanges as I do not hold inventory.

All of my printed pieces are sent directly from a  fine art printer, please do not send your purchase back to the fine art printer or manufacturer on your shipping label. I cannot guarantee that your purchase will be able to be received safely and this may result in a loss of your purchase.

No returns on sale / discounted items.

To start a return, you can contact me at bernadette@byoungquistart.com. If your return is accepted, I’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

You can always contact me for any return question at bernadette@byounguistart.com.

Inspiring Artists to Build Better Businesses. -Carolyn Edlund

  • We have six of your prints in our kitchen! We love your passion and style! -Stacey Hopner

  • We have a few original pieces from Bernadette in our home. We originally went to her for a pop of life and color in our entryway, but also fell in love with one for our dining room. For our entry she helped custom frame a set of paintings and they are perfect. Our dining room art was one I saw on social media and was drawn to, and when I saw it in person I knew it was ours. It brought so much positive energy to the room. -Abbey Bargohls-Boeding

  • I'm a fan of Bernadette's work and am privileged to have one of her paintings hanging in our living room. She is such a talented artist and I always enjoy talking with her when we show up at the same art openings. -Gloria Campbell

  • Every Bernadette Youngquist painting showcases a unique, expansive relationship with paint, color, form, and her inner and outer world. Her work is as bold and vibrant as she is kind and humble, a fascinating
    complexity. -Marj Hahne
