  • Every Bernadette Youngquist painting showcases a unique, expansive
relationship with paint, color, form, and her inner and outer world. Her
work is as bold and vibrant as she is kind and humble, a fascinating complexity. -M.H.

  • We have a few original pieces from Bernadette in our home. We
originally went to her for a pop of life and color in our entryway, but
also fell in love with one for our dining room. For our entry she
helped custom frame a set of paintings and they are perfect. Our dining
room art was one I saw on social media and was drawn to, and when I saw
it in person I knew it was ours. It brought so much positive energy to
    the room. -A.B.

  • We have six of your prints in our kitchen! We love your passion and style! -S.H.

Is there a way to see what the artwork looks like on my wall?

Yes! Take a photo of the wall with surrounding room elements and email it to me with the name of the artwork you are considering. I will send you your photo with the staged artwork.

Where are you based?

I am based in Fort Collins, CO USA. I work with international fine art printing companies.

What materials do you use for your original artwork?

I used professional grade cotton canvases and art materials including acrylic paints, acrylic ink, charcoal, artist crayons, and more.

What is your painting process?

My process is to flood the canvas with a variety of colors and marks building opaque and transparent layers. I work somewhat intuitively responding the canvas as I paint.

Do you take commissions?

I am happy to discuss commissions. I cannot duplicate my work as I create intuitively. We can talk about color, theme, and size. Email me! I'd love to work with you.

About the Artist

Bernadette has studied and made art for nearly 20 years. Her award winning artwork has been exhibited internationally.

"My artwork is an expression of felt experiences that are inspired by elements in nature".

Rich pigments in any form are fair game in the studio from acrylics to oils, to ink and crayons.

The paintings are exploratory and unconventional. Sometimes one needs to break the rules!

Authenticity and intuition are what guide the work.
